How To Find Time For God?

God is available 24 hours in a day. He hears prayers, rescue others from seen and unseen dangers, heals all kinds of bruises and hurts, what a great Creator? Everyone is looked after in His busyness of humanity and the universe. Can God’s people who is made in His image and likeness do the same for Him? Will they find time in their busy day, or will they ignore the duty of servitude?

Upon becoming a Christian, and following the ways of Christianity, we are to have a life of unselfish servanthood. You can read in Matthew 20:28 that Jesus explained that he has not “came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life” as an example for us.  We are to sacrifice our  time in this busy society in which we live in. There is a such thing as giving a daily sacrifice in our Christian’s duty. It is called praise.  What is praise? It is opening up your mouth and saying something to your Lord with thanksgiving, honor, and respect. Hebrews 13:15-16 states, ” By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” All we have to do is daily profess his name, do good to others, and share what we have!

They are three simple things on the list of Christian’s serve, right, but we for the most part are only doing two of them. Feeding the hungry, and not reacting neglectfully towards others. Don’t get me right, they are good deeds: for many are a great sacrifice. However, praise and worshipping the Lord is missing in our churches, school, government, and homes. The computers and A.I. has almost taking over our lives. It is a great distraction, even children as young as 8 years are becoming selfish to the smartphone. God is nowhere for the most part in the 24 hours day.  We are far removed from calling on the Lord God, I’m taking about us Christians as well!

The smartphone is convenient, but it is not a relationship with God. Listening to contemporary christian music is not praise and worship. These two words are hijacked by the music industry, and the christian community has fell in with the world when it comes to praise and worship music. It has stripped us of finding time with God, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It has kept us busybodies disguise as serve to the Lord.  Jesus stated in John 4:23-24 that worship must be done “in spirit and in truth.” How can we say this is genuine from the heart, mind, and soul when they are NOT your sacrifice of praise but someone else? Worship is always done from your mouth and from your body.

The scripture suggested that you and I praise the Lord at least 7 times in a day (Psalm 119:164).  Here is  how to find time with God suggestion:

  1. Upon waking up in the morning
  2. While praying with your family in the morning
  3. Riding to work, school, or other activities
  4. Your personal alone time of worship
  5. Before helping others
  6. While praying with your family in the evening
  7. Before going to bed at night

I hope that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, and filled with the glory of God that you burst forth in praise from now on. You will praise the Lord all the time (at appropriate times a course). All you have to do is to think about God’s goodness, and then you will want to find time for Him and praise Him. The more you do this for yourself, the better your relationship will be with your Heavenly Father.

Finding time with God will be the most important thing in your life!

Until next praise true worshipper, PRAISE THE MIGHT KING JESUS!
