True Worshippers Don’t Have to Be Told to Worship God

The act of worship is expressed daily by every creation – nature, animals, the heavens, and mankind. This act that we do is praise.

Praising is very important, and learning about it has and will do wonders for your life. That is why we do it so much! We praise at ballgames, concerts and celebrities idols. We don’t have a problem with praising anyone or anything. However, when the scriptures tell us to praise God, like Hebrew 13:15, “By him [Jesus Christ] therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name,” we hesitate. Really?

Praising God is great. By faith, we believe therefore we act with thanksgiving and praise. Isn’t it wonderful for those of us who truly know about praise and worship? I think so. Praising has been the easy part. Why do I say this? Because everything does it, whether you know it or not! Remember the rock praising in your place, if you don’t.

“And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”

This is in general, if you cannot praise God, you will never worship Him. When you become a follower of Christ, the Devil tricks you into believing that we don’t have to praise anymore. So you stop praising. Are you ashamed to offer praise to God? If you cannot praise the evil one, then you should not be praising God; especially not Jesus. Do you see that? That’s why he was kick out of heaven. Hoarding up worship for himself. If he can stop your praise, you will not be worshipping God Almighty neither.

Praise is a starting position by mouth. You have to know some words of understanding in order to practice this continual act of worship. If this is hard for you, my suggestion is go get a dictionary, your bible, and look-up positive attributes about God. You have to know some words with confidence.

“Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.”

In your praise to God, I have a quick song that I sing with my 3 years old grandsons to get you started today:

Lord, You are good God.

Lord, You are great God.

Lord, You are holy God.

Lord, You are _____ God.

I asked them to add something like, “wonderful” to complete the phrase to God. Please do not talk or sing about God, but directly address your love for Him. Also, please do not thank God for your many blessings either, like “I thank you for providing for me, or blessing me.” God is more than your personal spiritual ATM. He is Elohim, the all- existence mighty one. The source of all things. The only living God.

Get in the habit of praising God, at least 7 times a day according to Psalm 119:164. Here are some more word. along with the one you found, to try out for 23 days. After which, you will have a good intentions to continue offering a sacrifice of praise to God each day.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

John 4:23 King James Version

When you have the basic understanding about praise and worship, you can walk in God’s statutes. Oh yes, you can keep His judgments, and do them! Praising Him is for the True Worshippers. They don’t have a problem with giving God His due. True Worshippers know that praising God helps them to stay focus and endure this world’s sadness. In Christ, True Worshippers have joy, victory, holiness, grace, and mercy. The Holy Spirit continue to lead them in the path of righteousness for Christ Jesus’ name sake. To cling to Him, you need to worship only God.

True Worshippers have an excellent relationship with the Father God through Giving in Spirit and in Truth. Become a genuine worshipper, and know why you are doing it in the first place.
