The Spiritual Nature of God and His Worship

Key Scriptures for Worship

John 4:19-23

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

King James Bible

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Worship In Spirit and In Truth

Verse 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

True Worship Is Here!

Jesus Christ’s road trip from Judea to Galilee lay through Samaria. In His journey, Christ rested at Jacob’s well with a Samaritan Woman. Their conversation shared to the true with everyone in that region, as well as the true nature of worship. What can be true to God, seeing and knowing the heart of man?

God Is A Spirit

If you weren’t aware, God is Spirit. Jesus is Spirit. Spirit is the unity of one essence. God is not flesh, blood and bone. Neither is Jesus having no blood today in His flesh and bone body. Why? His immortal raised from the die by the Father. The Holy Father is God. We communicate with Him in the form for our understanding. All honesty, Spirit do not have flesh, blood, and bone, like you and I. This essence can be seen and felt. God like to have a personal relationship with His true worshippers. It is important to Him. It is written by divine inspiration to us by Him. He has feeling with desires. He place hopes and dream with us; who is make in His image and likeness. Can you truly see Him? The closer you are to God, you will have spiritual affections shown through acts of worship. The Holy Ghost comforts the spirit of man; who was sent by Jesus, the resurrected Savior, the Lamb of God, to assist and direct man in the truth of Him, Jesus, and the Father. You cannot lie to the Holy Spirit or mock the Father God. There are too many others characteristics and attributes not mention about this One essence. Trust me. He is living and ready to worship with the right person. Glorified the Lord!

You Are A Spirit

The spirit of man is influenced by the Holy Spirit. He enlighten your mind to know yourself and others, when God permits. For now, you are a spirit. Living in a physical flesh and blood body. You have a soul; housing your mind, will, and emotions. You being in Christ Jesus, must control your members from sin. Its job is to rule you. God the Father stated in the Scriptures, “we can take hold of it for righteousness.” The upright in heart must worship God, and have communion with Him. The Holy Father be praised! Glory to His Name! Every individual worshipper worshipping must give what He is explaining, or don’t do it at all. Daily praise and worship is expected from your spirit to God’s Spirit.

Worship Must Be In Spirit and In Truth

God is looking for integrity – before Him and man. Upright servants praising and worshipping the Father God according to His will – and that is “in spirit and in truth.” From Christ’s profound conversation with the Samaritan Woman, you and I have some in depth about the full knowledge of God’s affection for man. It started in the Garden of Eden and is continuing today. The Lord God is the same. He love for us supercedes, our craziness. In every turn, He provides for us. Is it too much to give back to Him? I don’t think so. Worship is something that we do anyway. I would rather communion with Him. He is my Father, and I’m His little girl. I know you can understand the natural earthly Father’s love. The Heavenly Father’s love and affection is a 1,000 times greater. Each Father’s Day, we honor the special Dad in our lives, thinking this is really cool. So, what about our All-Knowing, All-Powerful, The Only Wise Father? He only ask that our worship be in spirit and in truth. Is that too much as well? Nooo, I don’t think so! Praise the Lord!

Please get this simple wisdom shared with us from the Lady with one question and no name – the Samaritan Woman and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God is Spirit and we are spirit too! Together they worship in spirit and in truth!
