Praise Without Anxiety?

“In almost everything that touches our everyday life on earth, God is pleased when we’re pleased. He wills that we be as free as birds to soar and sing our maker’s praise without anxiety.”  – A.W. (Aiden Wilson) Tozer

Do you know that anxiety is fear? You cannot praise God with fear in your heart.  This type of worship is unacceptable and God will never receive it. John 4:24 tells us to worship “in spirit and in truth.”  Can you and I do just that? Yes we can! All we need to understand what praise is, and begin to do what pleases the Heavenly Father most. This will help you to keep your emotional state intact, and follow the lead of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ sent the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, to assist and direct us to the truth. Praising invites the Helper to anoint us, as the Spirit of God shows Himself to us. This is what we want, right? To feel freedom like never before = LIBERTY (2 Corinthians 3:17).

Freedom in Christ comes from having a right relationship towards God, plus it is the one thing you and I can do. Start giving verbal or physical expressions, just like children saying to their parents that they are “the best mommy or daddy in the world.” Believe it or not, praise is that simple.

Appreciation is founded in the hearts of mankind (see Psalm 150). God created every living being on this planet to praise – God or Mankind. It is His pleasure to see those who are created in His image doing what God has created us for – to praise, especially Him (Psalm 22:3)!

Praise the Lord for His praiseworthiness (Hebrews 13:15; John 4:24)! Honor and Adore the Lord God just for being Himself, or for creating you! That’s a great starting place don’t you think. Bible makes a suggestion of how many times we should praise the Lord from this scripture verse (hint: Psalm 119). I want you to look up the verse, and tell me below how many times. Your actions by faith will stir up your spirit for genuine worship towards our Lord. Practice daily with that same faith, as you offer up this sacrifice (Hebrews 13:15).

Yes, sacrifices are hard, but a closed mouth don’t get feed! Push pass the fear and anxiety with loving God with all your might. Hold on…changes will take place with every praise.

Do you believe that today? I do. (Read: Don’t Panic, Praise the Lord )
