Tis the Season of Thanksgiving…
- Being Alive. Many are not here today, and I’m thankful to You Lord God. I will sing unto the Lord as long as I’m alive:
I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. (Psalm 104:33)
While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. (Psalm 146:2)
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (Acts 17:28)
- Being Healthy. I’m thankful for the strength of the Lord in my mind and body:
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. (Psalm 43:5)
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. (Proverb 3:8)
For they [Your words Lord] are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. (Proverb 4:22)
- Being Loved. I’m thankful for my family, friends, and you Lord. Your commands are written in my heart:
…love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34)
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it. (Ephesians 5:25)
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:18)
- Being Content. I’m thankful for contentment in Christ Jesus. Happiness change like the wind, but contentment is a joy of the Lord:
Godliness with contentment is great gain. (1 Timothy 6:6)
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. (Philippians 4:11)
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content (1 Timothy 6:8)
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5)
The Lord is also faithful to us. We can never forget his benefits, according to Psalm 103:2-18. I suggest that you read these verses. We you start to complain, use these verses as a point of reference that God is love. He love you and I so much that He give Jesus Christ to mankind: whosoever believe in Christ would not perish but have everlasting life. If you can think of other things to be thankful for, please do so. These four praise of thankfulness gives us hope. Believe in Him without doubt or hesitation.
Thankful Lord for All of Your Benefits in Jesus Christ My Lord!
