Lift your Hands, Be Glorified in Me?

“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”

Do you know that this verse is mentioned four (4) times in the same chapter? You can found it in Psalm 107, verses 8, 15, 21, 31.

What is God saying to us? “To thank God for his marvelous love, and for his miracle mercy to the children He loves” (Message Bible).

You and I should praise the LORD for His love and for the wonderful things He does for all of us. Right! Is that too much to ask for?

God had to tell us four times to praise Him in just one chapter. I believe two times would have been enough, don’t you. We just don’t get it! Are we that stubborn?

The bible is full of praise, and is probably more passages on praise and worship in the bible, than on any other single subject. It is effective in every avenue of the Gospel.

Everyone on this planet should be praising God for His goodness.

Are we still thinking of ourselves to notice? We complain too much and wonder why things are not happening the way they should in our lives. God tell us over and over again that praise is imperative to our life, and we continue to ignore Him. Time is short, and Jesus is coming back sooner than you may think. Please do not get caught being disobedient.

I have found out that in my personal experience learning about praise and worship, I owe everything to Jesus and His mercy. If it was not for Jesus, I would still be lost and with no hope in my sins; on my way to hell. BUT, praise Jesus! He has done everything for me and I can’t praise Him too much.

When true bible praise goes forth, it will help and deliver people. They will be saved, healed, and are baptized with the Holy Spirit. That’s the blessing of God at work.

If we believe God is good, we should believe and act like it. In my blog post called Prayer and Praise, I said that we should give our entire attention to what God is doing right now. God will help us deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes, just by casting our cares on Him and giving Him our best praise.

This is what my husband says to me as I was writing this blog to you, and I thought I would share it with you:

“See a thing the way God sees things and then call them like you see them.”

In other words, you and I should be saying the Word and acting on the Word, if we are truly His.

All God is requiring from all of us is obedience, praise, and worship.
