We all worship something….
P4CM, the largest Christian Poetry event in Southern California, presents Jefferson Bethke. He delivered his poem “Counterfeit Gods.”
Yes, we all worship something! You will either worship the only true God or something other than Him. The choice is yours, however this is a cost for every decision made in this life (here on earth). Once your spirit leaves the body, it has to go somewhere – heaven or hell. You can choose to not to believe this or not. My hope for you is that you will stop and take a closer look into this hell or heaven thing (both real places). My suggestion for you to read about those who die and when to either places. Did they have a counterfeit god? In Christ, God make true worship available for those who will embrace in the one sent to earth, Jesus Christ; who paid the cost through his shed blood on the cross. The bible tells us in John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
Salvation is available for you through Jesus Christ, and not from other counterfeit gods.
