Doxa, Praise the Lord, and Put Your Trust in Him

Bible Study, Praise, Praise and Worship

“Regardless of the limitations and hindrances the enemy, Satan, puts in our path – no matter what means he uses to try to lock us away – we can overcome them all through praise. Prison doors cannot stand as we enter into God’s gates with sacrifices of praise and into His courts singing praises” – David Ingles

Listen to this praise called Yesterday by Mary Mary:

Are you going to make a decision today to put All Your Trust in Him?
Trust is needed in your relationship with God. If you do not trust Him, you will never praise or worship Him. Selah (pause and think about it).

Praise Him, Give Doxa!

Praise the Lord!

There is no secret for His love for you, Glory, honor God.

Trust Him today and always.

If feel that you are getting to serious in the matter of the heart, so you need to praise God again. Now, this time, sing along with this song called Power of Love by Hillsong:

Are you going to hold close to God? If so, I have a new word for you to learn that will help you to draw closer towards Him in praise called Doxa. Do you reminder when praising God, it is something that you do to get His attention? God is daily looking for you to worship ( or do some acts of worship; praise) Him.

Doxa (dox-ah) is a Greek word for praise. You can find it in the Strong’s Concordance #1391. It means to glory, to esteem, to honor, to praise. Here are the scripture references found in the King James Version:

“Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.” – John 9:24

“For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” – John 12:43

“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” – Ephesians 1:6

“That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.” – Ephesians 1:12

“Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” – Ephesians 1:14

“Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.” – Philippians 1:11

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” -1 Peter 1:7

“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” -1 Peter 4:11

In the New Testament, Doxa always have a good opinion concerning someone, resulting in praise, honour, and glory. As you can see from the scripture verses above, the authors expressed the value of God, the Father, or Christ Jesus.
We too should have that same expression. The subject of praise and worship is so beautiful and so extensive in Scripture one could easily devote a lifetime to studying it, like myself. I will never learn all there is to know about this topic. But in the ages to come you and I will be even more knowledgeable and skillful in that delightful thing we were created to do: worship and praise Him!

May God be praised, thanked, and magnified and worshipped eternally. Amen!
If you have something to doxa God about, please leave a comment of praise below and express it here, so others may be encouraged.

Until next time, continue to be blessed and Praise the Lord!
