Praise the Lord, and Give God the Glory!
Do you remember evaluating praise and worship songs? If so, what type of song is this?
This is My Father’s World
It is a praise song. Why? The singer is singing about the Father, God.
Remember all praise songs are sung about God, and we can praise God amongst ourselves by declaring His goodness.
Here is a nice poem that was sent to me by allworship.com radio online:
DIRECTIONS TO OUR FATHER’S HOUSE
Make a right onto Believeth Blvd.
Keep straight and go through the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ.
There, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled water.
When you get off the bridge, make a right turn and Keep Straight.
You are on the King’s Highway and are Heaven-bound.
Keep going for three miles: one for the Father, one for the Son, and one for the Holy Ghost.
Then exit off onto Grace Blvd.
From there, make a right turn on Gospel Lane
Keep Straight and then make another right on Prayer Road
As you go on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Ave.
Also, avoid Sin Street because it is a dead end.
Pass up Envy Drive and Hate Avenue
Also, pass Hypocrisy Street, Gossiping Lane, and Backbiting Blvd.
However, you have to go down Long-Suffering Lane, Persecution Blvd., and Trials and Tribulations Ave.
But that’s all right, because Victory Street is straight ahead!
Feel free to send these directions to others so they will not get lost.

The poem had me thinking, so here is what I wrote:
Sometimes we feel lost, but there’s hope in Christ Jesus. At every crossroads, He is always pointing the way, and even better when He says to “Follow Him.” There are time when Jesus tells you to stay here on Heaven Expressway while He go away to pray. They are the times; you stray away and need your directions.
My suggestion to you is to take out your navigator. The one you received for your birthday; the same one, you thought that you will never need. Thanks God for your special gift. It comes in handy, just about now. Hurry! Because the evil one will come to shift you like wheat. Don’t let that happen. What is your navigator showing you? You are lost and strait too far. What does it say to do? Pray and Repent, because you did not obey. Make a U-Turn and turn around. Make a right onto Believeth Blvd. Keep straight and go through the Green Light, which you will find Jesus Christ again. What else does it suggest? To only strait to Praise Ave. Why? Because it is the only main road in every state that connects to Heaven’s Expressway.
How many times has Jesus told you to be still, just go straight on King’s Highway and you will be at Heaven’s Expressway in less than 3 miles, each and every time, you strait away to Grumbling Street, because you do not sense His presence anymore? All God required of you was obedience, praise, and worship. Nevertheless, God, in His mercy, delivered you by sending you that special gift, your navigator, because of Jesus.
Personally, I can still remember the occasion when I received my green navigator. I was thinking what I’m going to use this for? I quickly find out. Fear grip me, and my navigator buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out to read what it was saying, “Praise Ave is at your next right.” If I could have flown to Praise Ave I would have, but instead of fretting and being fearful. I ran as fast as I could, because fear was chasing me down. Praise the Lord for obedience. Just by being on Praise Ave – that fear was defeated. You too can learn that fear – of people and traditions – can be successfully dispelled by staying on Praise Ave. What does the navigator says about Praise Ave?
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10).
How this passage will nourish your heart! If your God was with you, I reasoned, you have no need to fear. Step out in faith and join me on Praise Ave!
Now let’s Stop at the next rest stop for a moment. Jesus Christ has made it possible for you to receive godly directions for life – your navigator, the Holy Spirit! He’s the One who makes the life of praise possible. I’m not simply talking about a doctrine of mental optimism on this blog. I’m trying to introduce you to a person who can completely transform your life. Once you contact Him and know Him, you’ll have a good reason to become a biblical Praiser. Once you know the Lord, you’ll certainly be eager to move onto Praise Ave. And He’s got a place for you. You don’t need to wait until you get to Heaven to start praising. You can begin the life of praise right now.
Are you ready? What does your navigator suggest?
Exit from the Rest area and keep straight for 7 miles. There, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled water. It takes faith to keep on praising God in every situation. Faith and praise go hand-in-hand. In fact, praise is nothing more than the outward expression of your inner faith. When you get off the bridge, make a right turn and Keep Straight. You believe that God is taking care of you. You trust Him more than life itself. And because of that, you praise Him. Just because you see troubled water of doubt and unbelief, it does not mean to you have to fear. If you stop suddenly by stepping on the brake in your praise, guess what? It is doubting and questioning that causes your praise to dry up. So don’t hesitate! Relax and praise God. Thank Him in every situation, no matter how it looks, and before you know it – look straight ahead, you are on the King’s Highway and are Heaven-bound; which turns into Praise Ave.
Praise Ave is the only connection to Heaven’s Expressway, and your navigator can help you to get there!
Until next time, continue to be blessed and Praise the Lord!
