Sometime we forget to count our blessings, and there is something we must do to reminded us. If this is your first time here at this website, I will tell you. We must give what is due to the Lord everyday – you must Praise Him!
Listen as you watch this youtube video by Deitrick Haddon:
Count Your Blessing
Did you count your blessings today? God is the one who is keeping you.
Sooooo……………did you thank Him this morning, this afternoon, or this evening (whenever you are reading this article)? Hopefully you gave your best praise to Him. Right!
Remember you cannot take for granted all the blessings:
Love, Life and Family! Amen.
Glory, Hallelujah! He is keeping you!
He is keeping me! Lord, I thank You!
Let me give you a quote, and guess where I got it from:
“A miserable heart means a miserable life; a cheerful heart fills the day with a song.”
Do you have a song in your heart? A cheerful heart is like medicine. Did you guess it right? Yes, it’s the bible, Proverbs 15:15, from the Message translation. Do you feel like counting your blessing now?
While you are counting your blessings, I will review from yesterday. Do you remember what God wants from the Believer? He wants acceptable, mature Christians, spiritually worshipping Him from a pure heart. Do you count yourself as a Mature Christian today? Always ready to praise and worship God.
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24
Do I have spiritually mature Christians that worship God in spirit and in truth? If that’s you, congratulations! That’s what God is looking for! He is looking for you! He is looking for me! Everyone with a pure heart for worship towards Him only (Exodus 20:2-6)!
Do you remember me telling you that your body is a tabernacle? I have another reference for you. Let’s read 1 Peter 2:5; which says: “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”
Do you see in the verse again that you are a tabernacle, and you must offer acceptable spiritual sacrifices to God by Jesus Christ? If not, I will explain it to you this way. God doesn’t live in a house made with hands – in a building made of brick and mortar. He lives in a house made of the living stones of His people – that’s you. And as Holy priests (of your personal tabernacle), we are to offer up spiritual sacrifices. Acceptable, true, spiritual worship is offered on the basis of God’s transforming work in Christ.
And yes to all of those you who are stopping by, you must accept Jesus as your personal Savior (John 10:9-10)! You must accept Him into your life, and tell others of this acceptance. As we read in 1 Peter 2:5, true worship is only through the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Without Him, you cannot worship God acceptably (1 Timothy 2:5)! I encourage you to have a personal relationship with Him. Your life will be better for it.
I understand that some people believe that they have tried Christianity, and that it doesn’t work for them. I am here to tell you – you have not! You have tried religion, and everyone knows that does not work. It’s a relationship and not a religion. It takes time to know and to love God, just like any other person.
Anyway let me get back on topic, worship is tied to your destiny.
Worship is not a supplement to life; it is at life’s core. You see, the people who worship God acceptably enter into eternal life, but the people who do not worship God acceptably enter into eternal death. Worship, then, becomes the core. Time and eternity are determined by the nature of a person’s worship. Let me give you an example of this in Exodus 32. You can see for yourself that worship in the wrong form will delay your destiny. Please read it when you have some time to study it. Moses was up on Mount Sinai receiving the law from God. And while he was gone, the people, under Aaron’s leadership, decided to gather all their gold together, melt it down, fashion it into a golden calf, and worship it. You know they were wrong! They were not worshiping some other deity……No!!! The golden calf was their representation of Jehovah God. They reduced Him to an image and were worshipping God in an unacceptable way.
When Moses returned from Mount Sinai and saw what was going on, he got so angry that he threw down the stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments were written and shattered them (v.19) Even God’s wrath was so great that He threatened to destroy the entire generation (v.10); but He was gracious (v.14), and only 3,000 men lost their lives as they were executed on the spot (v.28).
God will not accept worship that is offered to Him in an unacceptable manner. It’s unacceptable to reduce God to an image, a material representation, an idol, or anything that is a result and product of one’s own thinking. I often hear people say, “I worship God as I perceive Him to be.” Oh really, if your definition of God doesn’t line up with His – the Word of God, your worship is unacceptable – even though you may identify it with the true God. It was a good thing that Moses made atonement for the sin of the people (v.30). They almost missed the inheritance promised to them by their descendants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Saints of God, please do not missed out on your blessing by not praising and worshipping God. Because of this microwavable generation, in which we live today, cannot wait for anything. Do you see that it was three generations from the first promise to Abraham? God is not slack in his promises. What He promised He is able to perform. Why? Because “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?(Numbers 23:19)”
Until next time, continue to be blessed and Praise the Lord!
