I can’t stop praisin’
I can’t stop dancin’
You’ve been to good Lord
Hallelujah!
Get up, stand in front of your computer and give your best praise to your Heavenly Father!
Praise Him – in a song, in a dance, or with a shout! He is good. Amen
Get Your Mind Off Yourself and Over On God!
Your praise is your weapon, use it!
Satan would love for you to keep your mouth close. Why? Because you do not know that it is a weapon of mass destruction in to his kingdom. If you keep your mouth shut, he wins every time. Are you going to let him win just like that! Are you kidding? No way! He is a defeated woe.
Open up your mouth, children of the Most High God! Praise Him!
You do not have any worries or fears, if you trust him. If God is looking after you, then you should praise Him in every situation.
If you knew this or not, God truly lives, takes residence, in your praises (Psalms 22:3). If He takes residence in your praise, then you must fill your home with praise. Guess what will happen? God will come down in the midst of your praises and live in it. Oh, the Glory of the Lord will be present(2 Chronicles 5:13). You will see miracles working in your life and in the midst of anyone who comes in contact with you. Why? It’s the power of God. It’s the power to heal, deliver, and set anything free that has been bonded. Miracles are bound to happen when you really believe in God’s Word. I said this many times, but you need to hear it again and again until you get it: “Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.” – Psalms 33:1
This reminds me of the book “Praise Avenue” by Don Gossett. I encourage you to find you a copy of this book, and I will be referring to this book in many of my blogs. In it He tells of a story about Reg Layzell and His experience with the power of praise. You can read this whole chapter one from this blog called Don’t Panic – Praise!
Here’s Mr. Layzell’s comments on this subject of praise:
“On more than one occasion, I have said that if I should be limited to one subject in my preaching, I would choose, without hesitation, the subject of praising Jesus. This would be for various reasons.
First, I owe everything to Jesus and His mercy. If it were not for Jesus, I would still be in my sins and lost. I am sure that, but for Jesus, I would be dead and in hell. Jesus has done everything for me and I can’t praise Him too much.
I also find that the Word of God, which is our guide to life, tells us to praise Him in many things and at all times. There are probably more passages on praise and worship in the Bible, than on any other single subject.
I have found that in the preaching and practicing of praising Jesus, every avenue of the Gospel is effective. Jesus inhabits the praises of Israel. Because He is present in the atmosphere of true Bible praise, sinners are saved, people are healed, believers are baptized in the Holy Spirit, and all are blessed.”
The portion that is underlined above is what I was reminded of. “The Word of God, which is our guide to life, tells us to praise Him in many things and at all times.” Let’s read some right now:
Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Deuteronomy 10:21 He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen.
Judges 5:3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.
2 Samuel 22:4 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
2 Samuel 22:50 “For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing praises to your name.
1 Chronicles 16:9 Sing to him; sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!
1 Chronicles 16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be held in awe above all gods.
1 Chronicles 23:5 4,000 gatekeepers, and 4,000 shall offer praises to the LORD with the instruments that I have made for praise.”
1 Chronicles 23:30 And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even:
1 Chronicles 29:13 And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
2 Chronicles 5:13 and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the LORD), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the LORD, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever, “the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,
2 Chronicles 29:30 And Hezekiah the king and the officials commanded the Levites to sing praises to the LORD with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed down and worshiped.
Ezra 3:11 And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever toward Israel.”And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
Nehemiah 12:24 And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers who stood opposite them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, watch by watch.
Psalm 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?
Psalm 7:17 I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.
Psalm 9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
Psalm 9:2 I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:11 Sing praises to the LORD, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds!
Psalm 33:2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Psalm 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalm 35:18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.
Psalm 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
Psalm 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
Psalm 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
Psalm 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
Wow! This is only the tip of the iceberg. In your study time, go through your bible and pick out all of the praise scriptures. You will be surprised, just like Mr. Layzell said, “…more passages on praise and worship…than on any one single subject.” Check it out for yourself.
If you spend more time praising God, than worrying your life will change dramatically!
Are you ready to praise God with a new Hebrew word? It is called Mechowlah. If you do not like to dance alone, this is your opportunity to dance with someone.
Mechowlah means “a dance:-company dances”.
This word can be found in the following scriptures: Exodus 15:20, Exodus 32:19, Judges 11:34, Judges 21:21, 1 Samuel 18:6, 1 Samuel 21:11, 1 Samuel 29:5, and Songs of Solomon 6:13.
If you love to dance, I encourage you to join the dance ministry in your church (if applies). There you can dance, and not feel ashamed or alone. You will have a company with you. Dance Ministry will stimulate spiritual growth by participating in the experience through dance movements, and this dance performance will be appropriate and dedicated completely to praising God, or dance at your home, in your own praise and worship time with the Lord. Get your family together and praise the Lord. It will bond you together in God’s presence.
Watch this company of dancers of young people, they will stir you heart to praise God once again: A Call to Worship
Every creature praise the Lord, so what about us? You can bless the Lord.
Until next time, continue to be blessed and Praise the Lord!
