Yes, you can learn and recognize the voice of God!
It’s by spending time praying, praising, and worshipping Him that you’ll learn His Voice.
Before I talk about knowing God’s voice, do you remember when we should praise the Lord?
Continually – All the Time – Without Ceasing!!
There is never a time that we should stop praising the master of the universe. In the midst of our daily routines, you must acknowledge Him. I know that I have talked about acknowledging Him, but where is it found in the bible. Let’s Read Proverbs 3:6:
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
In the Message Bible, it states it this way:
“Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.”
OH how, we need His help! Discerning the Lord’s Voice, listening, and obeying Him, when there are so many voices in the world, you need to learn how to sharpen your spiritual antenna. How do I do that you ask? It’s by spending time praying, praising, and worshipping Him that you’ll learn His Voice.
It is important that we read St. John 10:1-5:
“Verily, verily, I say [Jesus} unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”
In the Message Bible, we read:
“Let me [Jesus] set this before you as plainly as I can. If a person climbs over or through the fence of a sheep pen instead of going through the gate, you know he’s up to no good—a sheep rustler! The shepherd walks right up to the gate. The gatekeeper opens the gate to him and the sheep recognize his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he gets them all out, he leads them and they follow because they are familiar with his voice. They won’t follow a stranger’s voice but will scatter because they aren’t used to the sound of it.”
By spending time praising and worshipping our Father, God, and Jesus, our Lord and Savior, you will start to recognize His Voice; becoming familiar with His Voice.
Many people ask this question, how would I know if God is talking to me?
God is talking all the time, but we are too busy to listen! God talks through people. He uses music and television to talk to us. And most importantly, He talks to us directly to our spirit, and his Word (The Holy Bible). The problem is that we do not recognize the Voice of God!
If you truly want to hear from God in your life, you must praise and worship Him. It’s only in our prayer, praise, and worship that we find directions for our path.
Say this quick prayer with me today:
Father God, I set myself to you today, as I exercise my inner man (your spirit), to listen for You each day. I hear Your Voice and a stranger’s voice I will not follow. I will walk in your supernatural power that will show me who I need to talk with, a place where I need to be, and knowing what to do once I’m there.
Father, I will praise and worship you in the middle of my day. For you alone will direct my path. Lord, I cannot do this without you. I need Your help. I thank You that Your gifts of the Spirit are available for me when needed to complete any task assigned to me.
I hear Your Voice and Praise You, because of it. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Now, Praise and Worship Him!!
Hallelujah!
Holy are You, Lord!
Before I go, I need to say something. Your inner man is the center of communion and communication with the Spirit of God. God doesn’t speak to your brain or to your emotions. He speaks to the inner core of your being. From there, you can accurately hear, know, and discern what is before you each day.
Please develop your praise and worship, so that you may hear from Him, and be obedient in what He tells you to do, and develop a lasting relationship with God. In return, you will trust what He shows you or tells you. It’s easy to live it when you believe it. Amen, Amen!
